About Me

I have over 8 years’ experience conducting ecological appraisals. I went to Aberystwyth University where I got my undergraduate degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology and my Masters degree in Managing the Environment. I started work with Greenscape Environmental in 2015 and was a senior ecologist for the last five years. I now work for myself as Ben Jones Ecology.

I hold level 2 survey licences for bats, a level 1 licences for great crested newts and have successfully designed bat mitigation under licence in both England and Wales. I have experience conducting nesting bird assessments, barn owl surveys, badger surveys and biodiversity net gain assessments. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute for Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
